Potty Training One Week

    View:
So you're beginning to wonder if your child is ready for potty training and decided to find some books to help you. Good for you, this gives you a definite advantage. Educating yourself about the potty process before you try to educate your child is the best way to go. The more you understand, the better equipped you will be to overcome obstacles and make this a successful time for both of you.

Finding Potty Training Books

A quick online search will probably turn up all the books you need. In addition to books, you'll find parenting forums where you can chat with other parents going through the potty training process. It can be helpful to be able to get input and encouragement from other people.

If you prefer to head to your local bookstore, you'll find a vast array of parenting books there that will include potty training advice and methods. Make sure you choose a book that you like, written in a way that makes it easy to understand and follow. The most expensive, comprehensive parenting book in the world won't do you any good if you don't want to read it.

After you pick out a book for yourself, head over to the children's section and see what they might have in the way of books for your child about using the potty. This can be a great way to begin to talking to her about potty training. It's best to ease into the process and let her become involved rather than trying to force the idea on her.

Other Potty Training Aids

Once you've decided on the method of potty training and are ready to start, you'll need a few supplies. At the very least, you'll need some potty training underwear for her. If you decide to use a potty chair or seat, you'll need that too. Take your child to the store with you and let her pick out the underwear she likes. This too will increase her willingness to start potty training. The more you can involve her, the more invested she'll become in her success. She's beginning to want to have more control over her world and potty training can be one of the first big decisions she makes.

Potty training books and aids can be very helpful in the process of helping your child as she makes this final transition from baby to childhood.
Potty Training One Week
The Bulldog is a very sweet natured dog and has one purpose in life and that is to be a devoted companion. They were originally used by butchers to bait bulls, but after that sport ended only sweet tempered Bulldogs were bred. Bulldogs are easy to train if you use the correct methods. They are eager to please and should be trained at a very early age.

This is an atmosphere your Bulldog puppy is used to and will make him feel homey or secure. If the crate is too big he will potty in one of the corners and your potty training will soon become a behavior problem. Bulldogs are sweet natured dogs and want to become your beloved companion. They are basically easy to train because they are eager to please their owner. So your potty training adventure with your Bulldog puppy should be an easy experience.

The next step in Bulldog potty training is taking your dog outside as soon as he wakes up from a nap. When you feed your new puppy be sure to wait no more than ten to fifteen minutes before taking him out again. Most dogs need to potty at this time after they eat. Always praise him when he goes potty outside. Bring him in for a playtime for about thirty minutes and then take him outside again and when he comes back in put him into his crate for a nap.

Do this consistently throughout the day and your puppy will get the idea that outside is the potty place. Always wait for him to do his deed outside before you bring him inside and always, always praise him when he goes outside. If he should have an accident inside the house only scold him if you see him do it. If you find it later, he will not remember and scolding him then will not do any good.

Supervision and confinement are two of the most important keys to successful Bulldog potty training. Praising your Bulldog with positive reinforcement and yummy treat rewards will also help with your success. But it is very important to only scold him when you actually see him having an accident inside.

And you must always remember to only give negative reinforcement when you actually see him potty inside. The good reinforcement must always come with the negative reinforcement for Bulldog potty training to work. A consistent feed schedule and plenty of time with your puppy also helps in the potty training experience.

It will take a few weeks for him to get the hang of it because he is still a baby but one day it will all fall into place and owner and Bulldog puppy will have a very happy partnership.

Patience in Bulldog potty training is something each owner needs to have a lot of. Your relationship with your Bulldog is going to be a happy one, but potty training is a very long first step.
