- How to reach enough people who will be genuinely interested in listening to you?
- How to present as a credible business person if you have no business experience?
- How to keep your recruits motivated?
And that's just for starters.
These challenges are made worse because of the traditional way that network marketing is being taught.
You see, the whole business is about getting thousands, even millions of people involved. The way that this is done has altered substantially the normal way of doing business.
The prime aim is to move products through these individual entrepreneurs who share in the profits. Those profits are greater because the company does not have marketing and distribution costs.
Nothing wrong with that. I quite like the idea of spreading the profit around.
But network marketers say that they are in a business. Yet they have been taught to talk about sharing instead of selling. Sharing product knowledge, sharing the opportunity.
They also talk about helping each other because by helping each other they all make more money.
I love all this stuff. And I do believe in some of it. Especially the part about helping each other.
Here's the thing. I do believe that network marketing is the greatest opportunity for the ordinary person, like you and I, to make an extraordinary income.
But the traditional methods of doing this business don't work. If they did 97% of you wouldn't be failing. And some of you have failed many times with many different companies.
Yet you still keep trying.
You see, I believe you are where I used to be.
You can see the logic behind the business but you haven't been able to make it work. You believe that there has to be a different way and you are still searching for it.
You might have read Paul Zane Pilzer, world renown millionaire economist whose predictions about the economy are always accurate.
His current prediction? The next 10 years will see 10 millionaire new millionaires in the USA alone.
Where will these millionaires come from?
Answer. Individual entrepreneurs using the internet and network marketing.
Supporting this prediction is Robert Kiyosaki, the millionaire author of the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series. He says that if he was starting out to create wealth today he would do it with network marketing.
Neither of these two made their money in the business - so that's one heck of an endorsement.
So you decide that this is the right business and the right time. Now how do you solve those problems mentioned earlier?
Answer. The internet.
You need to reach large numbers - your market is global. Only the internet can get you that coverage.
You need to be credible. Then share your knowledge. Position yourself in front of people as an expert, which you will be.
Nurture people with careful and genuine pre-selling.
Use the internet to automate as much as you can. Your numbers will be huge and you could never do it on your own.
Forget the traditional method of network marketing. Use modern methods of marketing and have people clamouring at you door to join you.
This has been done - is being done, right now.
You will still need to teach duplication. But now you will also include instruction on how to attract people to you and show them real results.
And by the way - you don't even have to have a website.
