Napa Valley



Situated not far from San Francisco, the Napa Valley is often called the Wine Valley. There is a travel route passing through the valley that one can accomplish in one day, this is the duration of almost all the tours which start in San Francisco. The valley has the same name as the city situated here, and extends for about 30 miles. Napa is not just famous for it's wine, many people are tourists to the valley because of the great lifestyle it offers - relaxed atmosphere, great food, luxury hotels and inns, beautiful houses and hospitality!

The valley's other main attraction is architecture. There is a big German and French influence throughout the region dating back to the 19th century when these immigrants founded large estates.

Napa is a popular destination for people from all around the world as well as many Americans who are also crazy about the Valley. Apart from the vineyards they come for the thermal springs and mud-baths, nice restaurants and the laid back European-style.

Taking route 29 through the valley you will come across numerous small towns and villages or you can enjoy the age of rail and take the "vine train" to St. Helena and back or perhaps a balloon ride at Yountville. In Oakville there is a jazz festival held every July, in Santa Helena you will find the Robert Louis Stevenson museum and in Calistoga there are thermal and mineral springs and a great golf course. You will find a wonderful experience in the Napa Valley.
