Luxury boutique hotels have become one of the most popular kinds of lodgings that tourists and travelers stay in during their vacations and travels. There are millions of such travelers darting from place to place all over the world, and they find the most luxurious places and most quaint lodgings in existence. Whether they travel for personal reasons or for business matters, the luxury boutique hotels are witnessing a clientele base that they never have before.
The latest buzz term in the world of accommodations is luxury boutique hotels, and many tourists prefer to stay in this type of place on their travels. The idea of these hotels began in North America and suggests a luxurious and intimate environment. The intimacy that comes with a place that is still grand in nature is what differentiates these from other types of lodgings. It is the personalized service and accommodations that are offered that people search out that makes the boutique hotel such a success.
There is usually some kind of theme that these places are created with, and that theme runs through the rooms, lobby, and service centers inside and also sometimes outside. They are normally considered much more trendy and posh than their business class competitors, and are the equivalent to modern or contemporary furniture in a room full of classy antiques. There are many furnishings, decor, and accents throughout these places that are put in place by a professional designer who has been hired to make sure that the furnishings are perfectly suited to fit the needs and requests of guests. Everything from the lounges to rooms to restaurants are designed, planned, and constructed according to that theme and vision of the designer.
The normal furnishings that are most often found in a typical room in luxury boutique hotels include at least a queen size bed, telephone, wifi Internet access (which is usually free of charge for guests to use), cable or satellite television, a mini bar and/or refrigerator, and for sure room service that is available around the clock. Many places will also have fine dining available in their restaurants with five star cuisine and a lounge for guests to unwind in. What many people like about these bars and lounges is the fact that they are not only open to guests, but also to the general public too.
Although there are some luxury boutique hotels that are fairly large in size, for the most part these places are smaller than the mainstream ones, with anywhere from only five rooms to only about a hundred at most. The combination of privacy, luxury, and personalized service is what puts luxury boutique hotels in a league of their own.
Small Luxury Boutique Hotels
A Barbados Luxury Boutique Hotel best describes Little Arches, one of the most charming and distinctive properties on the island of Barbados. It is a well hidden privately owned boutique hotel with great views of Miami Beach on the south coast of Barbados, and in fact used to be a privately owned villa
It has been described as a 10 rooms and suites, absolute gem of a hotel, with great Caribbean colours in the rooms and charming blue rustic pottery all over the place, and is one of the top places in the Caribbean for a romantic honeymoon getaway. It is the personal touches that keep it ahead of any rivals. There are wrought iron four poster beds, the rooms are somewhat non standard in shape or size, in fact higgledy-piggledy may well be the best description. Add to this local pottery handbasins in the bathrooms, and double hammocks around the pool, make it perfect for that honeymoon escape. Add to this you'll not meet anyone you know!!
It lives up to this description, and in fact is a real discovery, absolutely right for people who like personalised hotels with colourful rooms, just perfect for a honeymoon getaway.
There is no doubt at all that family owned hotels offer something that a large resort cannot, and here Little Arches scores hugely. This hotel has a real ?at home? feeling to it, and also that touch of exclusivity which sets it apart. The beauty of it is that it is tucked away down a sleepy beachfront road, close to the beach, yet far from the madding crowd, so far as to seem remote, even isolated. There really are views from Little Arches of Miami, or Enterprise Beach, and the incredibly colours of blue in the sea to die for.
The location is superb, being a few steps to the beach and a stroll from Oistins which will give you some action on Fridays after a few days of utter relaxation.
A top class luxury boutique hotel should have a high class restaurant, and Little Arches doesn't disappoint in this respect either. The Caf? Luna restaurant offers al fresco dining that is of a far better quality than you will find around the Caribbean, and that includes some supposedly world class establishments. There is no better place in Barbados to dine out under the stars overlooking Oistins Bay. If you love great salads, then you will find them here, or perfectly pan fried shrimp cakes, and in the winter the Saturday night Lobster certainly brings in the crowds.
In fact having stayed at Little Arches, and sampled La Luna it is unlikely you will ever want to stay in a large impersonal hotel again.
It is fair to say that if you are looking for the perfect escape, the total romantic honeymoon getaway, then you will have found it at Little Arches. It is the best of all worlds in that it is totally private, very relaxed, absolutely a personalised experience, and at the same time very stylish and relaxed.
