Thailand is becoming increasingly popular for weddings for many reasons such as the pleasant climate, hospitable people and affordable prices. With the economy in its current state, couples are often looking for ways to reduce their costs and weddings can often cost upwards of $50,000 USD which is a lot of money for any couple. Wedding dresses in particular are a huge expense whilst in Thailand they can often cost a fraction of that in the West, offering the same level of craftsmanship and quality.



The cost of photography, church / chapel, catering and stylists all occur large costs and again these can be organized in Thailand for far less than other countries and often through just one company leaving the entire process stress free and enjoyable. As Thailand is very accepting of all religions and customs it is easy for a couple to organize a ceremony bespoke to their needs, regardless of religion. Many couples who visit Thailand for their wedding and honeymoon choose to have a private wedding with just themselves and a few special people in attendance.

For traditional weddings, the bride can opt for a traditional Thai costume to mark their wedding day, whilst the groom can also wear traditional clothing, which looks very regal! Other popular destinations are the Southern island of Phuket which offers a variety of wedding ceremonies either on the beach, in a rustic mountain bungalow or on a yacht to name but a few and the province of Krabi, again with option of choosing luxury villas or more rustic, romantic accommodation for their Thai wedding.

Thailand is a popular wedding destination for couples located in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia as Thailand is located just a couple of hours away. Even for guests from such locations as the UK, Europe or America, Thailand makes an attractive destination for a Thai wedding as the couples honeymoon can be combined as part of their trip and so there is no need for an additional cost to travel thousands of miles for a honeymoon.

Instead couples often simply travel around Thailand to enjoy this wonderful country and experience the incredible diversity of the countryside and cultures of which Thailand is famous for.
