The barcode technology has virtually eliminated many of the old ways of shopping and has relieved much of the stress associated with the check out line. Now, with new technology, ease and accuracy are the norm. Lines move efficiently as consumers and check out clerks move quickly through the process. The check out line has become a welcome addition to the shopping process, rather than the dreaded final phase before leaving.
