These are the six most dangerous enemies of success: Fear of poverty, Fear of death, Fear of ill-health, Fear of the loss of love, Fear of old age, Fear of criticism.
It is a fact that every person on earth is afraid of something. We inherit most fears. The fears listed above are the six basic fears which contribute to failure in every area of our lives. To succeed in any worth-while endeavor in life, these fears must be understood and conquered.
To recognize and acknowledge the fears that hold us back is the first step in conquering and mastering these enemies. Keep reading to find out how many of the six fears are bothering you.
Every person on this earth is burdened to some extent by one or more of these unseen FEARS. The first step to take in getting rid of these enemies is to find out where and how you got them in the first place.
They got their grip on everyone through two forms of heredity. One is known as physical heredity, the other is known as social heredity.
Physical heredity can be explained this way - You will see that from the lowest form of life to the highest, the stronger one preys upon the weaker ones.
Social heredity is all about everything that we are taught, learn or gather from observation and experience every day.
1. THE FEAR OF POVERTY! The Fear of Poverty has evolved from man's habit of preying upon one another, economically. Because animals have instinct but no power to think, they prey on other animals physically. But humans have superior intuition as well as the power to think, and they prey on other humans financially. This becomes self-evident when you consider that most countries have tons of laws specially created to protect the weak from the strong with regard to financial and economic issues.
2. THE FEAR OF OLD AGE! The fear of old age is related to the fear of poverty. This is because of the thought that old age may bring with it poverty, and also from false and cruel religious teachings about fire and brimstone. The latter one implied the possible belief that the next world may be more horrible than this.
3. THE FEAR OF ILL HEALTH: From the time we were born until the time we draw of last breath there is eternal tension and pressure within every physical body; tension between groups of cells, one group being known as the friendly builders of the body, and the other as the destroyers, or "disease germs." Ill-health is also caused through ignorance of the lack of cleanliness and knowledge of sanitation. There is also another factor contributing to the fear of ill-health and that is the law of suggestion cleverly manipulated by those who profit by ill-health. (The health-care industry is, after all, a multi billion dollar industry). Remember that the law of attraction states that we attract to ourselves what we continually focus upon whether wanted or unwanted. Now recall the advertisements in the media that continually bring our attention to sickness, poverty, and other unwanted states of living. Just watch television for an evening and you will see what we mean.
4. THE FEAR OF LOSS OF LOVE OF SOMEONE: This fear is responsible for filling asylums with the insanely jealous. It also contributes to the high rate of divorce and causes the huge numbers of murders that we have as well as forms of cruel punishment. It is believed to have been from the stone age when man would steal his neighbors mate by physical force. Instead of using physical force man now steals his neighbors mate with fast motor cars, sparkling rocks and stately mansions.
5. THE FEAR OF CRITICISM: Just how and where mankind got this fear is difficult to know, but it is certain that he has it. Clothing manufacturers capitalize on this basic fear of criticism. Every season the styles change, because the clothes makers know that few people have the courage to wear a garment that is one season out of date with what "everyone's wearing." Observe how uncomfortable it feels to be wearing mini skirts when the fashion is something else, or bell bottom trousers when slim trousers are in. People fear criticism and because of this billions are made by clothing manufacturers. And it's only because they capitalize on this one fear.
6. THE FEAR OF DEATH! Mankind has asked the question, ?Where did I come from?? ?What am I doing here?? and ?Where will I go when I die?? You probably even ask yourself that sometimes. This particular fear strikes the sick and religious mostly. One teacher will tell you that you will go to heaven and it's wonderful but only if you follow them and believe what they are teaching. Or, if you don't you will go straight to hell where you will be burning forever. No wonder so many people fear death.
The most effective tool to fight all these fears is knowledge. Fear is often the result of Ignorance. They go together like twins and are generally found together. If it wasn't for ignorance and superstition, these six fear would probably disappear from our nature in only one generation. It is exciting to know that in every public library there are numerous books with the knowledge to eliminate these fears from your life forever, providing you know which books to read.
The classic course by Napoleon Hill titled ?The Law of Success? is the very best one available that deals with these basic fears as well as all the laws of success.
The six fears can be eliminated! To reach your full potential in this lifetime, you owe it to yourself to conquer these fears now. To understand how life changing our thoughts are, there is a free download of ?Thoughts are Things? by Prentice Mulford at our website (see below). It is our gift to you to start your journey and help you to eliminate these fears that hold you back.
