The Who Dont Get Fooled Again

    View:
If you're trying to go it alone, you'll probably never make it. What you need is what I finally figured out I needed, and that's OP power. What's OP power? It's Other People Power. Let me share a true story with you that happened to me. A few years ago when I was not yet a Rich Idiot, I began buying properties. At first things were good. So good in fact that I bought more. Then more.

And that's when I ran into trouble. Not because I was buying properties, but because I was inspecting them myself, closing on them myself, searching for them myself, fixing them up myself, renting them out myself. The result? My family life suffered. My health suffered. And if I hadn't gotten some very good advice, my business would have suffered.

And that advice is what I'm sharing here with you. Get help. Find experts. Find support. It's out there. You'll do yourself and your own journey to wealth a HUGE favor when you tap into OP Power.

You May Have too Many Goals?

That's right? Sounds strange, but it's true. Too many goals can block your wealth pathways. Why? Think about it. Instead of focusing on the only goal you need to become wealthy (and I'll tell you what that goal is in a minute) you are focusing on a whole bunch of goals all of which can be very distracting. Suddenly you are stressing out if your dozen or hundred goals aren't being achieved.

Now, your attention is diverted. Now you are thinking?panicking?about the private school for your kids, the new business you wanted to set up, the new home you set a goal to purchase, the weekends off?and the list of goals goes on and on. All you need is just one goal. What's the one goal you need?

Make the Personal Commitment

It doesn't matter that your bills are piling up, that the financial news is black and getting blacker, that you are tired, overwhelmed and terrified. Why doesn't it matter? Because I've been there too. Believe it or not there was a time, not so long ago, that I was down to a jar of change?that's it?that's all the money I had. So I know all about scared.

But I'll let you in on something that kept me going back then, and still keeps me going every single day. Five little sentences that I repeat morning and night and when I say it, suddenly my fear disappears. Let me share it with you. Try it. You'll see. ?I'm (say your name here). This is my commitment. I commit to filling my life with wealth. I commit to filling my life with happiness. I commit to being bold. I commit to taking positive actions. I commit to a new result?.
The Who Don't Get Fooled Again
Hiking is a fairly safe activity especially compared to extreme sports but there are still some dangers that you need to be prepared for. Among them, getting lost is probably the number one problem for beginning hikers. Inexperienced hikers get a false sense of security especially if they have taken a handful of hikes without incident. Don't fall victim to this. Here are some things that will help you not get lost and what to do in case you do get lost.

Getting lost is easier than most hikers think. Stepping off the trail only a few hundred yards into unmarked thick vegetation can easily disorient you. You may think you know how to get back and mistakenly go in the wrong direction which will make it worse. Or you may misread a map and think you're going in one direction but in reality you're going in another.

First off, become familiar with your map and know where you're going and what landmarks you should see along the way. In this way you'll know approximately how long your hike should last and when you should be seeing the landmarks. Also hike with a buddy and if possible, someone who is an experienced hiker. Two heads are better than one so if you start going in the wrong direction you have someone to compare notes with.

Stay on well marked trails until you gain some experience. Make sure you bring some basic navigational equipment; a map and compass is essential. A GPS unit is also beneficial but they don't always work if there's no signal so make sure you have a compass as a backup. Know how to use your navigational equipment before you set off on your hike. Also know the general direction of your starting point; if you get lost you can find your way using your compass or the sun or stars. This is true whether hiking through Yellowstone Park .

While you're hiking make mental notes of landmarks such as outcroppings and streams. If you get lost stay calm and try to retrace your steps by remembering the landmarks you've seen. If you're still having trouble then try to find a stream. Most trails start at the bottom of a hill or mountain so if you follow the downward flow of the stream it should end at the bottom of the hill or mountain. You can also climb a tree or hike to a clearing to get a view of your area that can help you get a sense of direction.

Lastly, make sure you've left your itinerary and when you should be back with a friend or relative. In case you get lost, they will know the area to look for you.
