A few weeks ago I decide to join another marketing program to build my income. The plan is solid and the opportunity to achieve my goals is there. I'm happy with the program and what it has to offer. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with my progress. Being new at this particular program but not new at marketing I didn't pay very much attention to the details. In particular, the marketing plan.
There are hundreds of marketing and advertising companies on the net that have no real value. They may make a promise and do exactly what they claim but the results are often none for the marketing newbie. It sounds exciting and promising to a newbie when they see an ad that tells them they can blast their promo page to millions of sites for a one time low price. Unfortunately the outcome is nearly non existent.
My second move was to join clubs that promise to mentor me to riches. I joined two of them to be exact and they will do what they promised at a cost of $97.00 per month each. Like most it will take forever for them to mentor you to a point where you can quit your job. The question is, are they worth it? Yes they can be, especially if you have a niche that is super tight or you want to start a tight niche web site even though you may not be interested in it.
Although I looked into mentoring programs for my new Affiliate adventure and spent some money on a couple of them they proved to be pointless. Affiliate Marketing is not a Niche market and can not be worked as one.
Having to learn most things the hard way I've been religiously sorting through hundreds of emails and clicking the delete button like it was a religion. Because I've searched out so many new marketing companies and spent a few dollars with some they all send a relentless amount of emails.
Not that I am a slow learner or hard to teach new tricks to although I believe that I am, I was swamped by emails that I had created myself. I was the one who asked for information and I know what that means. Marketing companies will send information until you are blue in the face or tell them to stop. In my rush to create a new marketing plan and to delete the emails from companies I wasn't interested I completely overlooked the fact that not only did my new company have a terrific product with a money making business plan they also had a terrific marketing plan. The solution to my problem was right in front of my face although I couldn't see it.
I have looked into many online Affiliate and Networking companies through the years and have seen what they had to offer many times. Most, if not all, not only have a product they also offer a marketing plan to go with it. Many of the plans are high grade while others offer very little for the new marketer.
I've know this for a long time but foolishly looked for a better way, my own way, to market the program. Unfortunately to many new Affiliates do the same thing and often times waste more time and money than I did. Online advertising and marketing holds many traps that new people can easily fall into if they are not taught correctly from the start. It's simply too easy to spend large amounts of cash thinking a fortune will be made.
If you have just signed up with a company as a new Affiliate your new company is the place to look for promotional ideas. New people should examine their new company from cover to cover and study their advertising suggestions. If the company you are with has been around for any length of time or has been started by experienced marketers there is a good chance their marketing program will lead you to the success you desire.
