Top Ten Most Disturbing

    View:
When it comes to branding a product, the company logo is probably the most important part of the equation, a major part of the logo is the trademark font. Sometimes the logo font becomes synonymous with the product and brand such as the weird PEZ font made up of cubes with shadows or Coca Colas swinging letters. The good news is that many of these famous fonts are available for private persons or companies to take and use as their own.

The top 10 most recognizable fonts from the food and drinks industry-in no particular order:

1. Futura Condensed Extra Bold: This font developed by LinoType, made the Swedish vodka label “Absolute Vodka” famous. The producers of Absolute Vodka wanted to set itself apart from the other vodka labels on the market and make vodka fashionable to drink in a time where vodka's image was the very opposite. This clear cut bold font helped Absolute make its mark and project a unique image.

2. Old English: Another instantly recognizable font for Mexican beer giant Corona. This almost Gothic and slim font has become a recognizable trademark for beer drinkers all over the world, who will associate Corona beers refreshing sweet taste with this font.

3. Rockwell Condensed: A simple yet effective font for M & M chocolate, that kids and adults, around the world will recognise instantaneously.

4. Fontos Crude: Mentos “The Fresh Maker” used this font for their scotch mint candy, which became very popular through clever advertising in the nineties. The font has rounded letters and sleek presentation.

5. Draft Beer: The beer giant Millers trademark font for Americas favourite beer. ‘Miller Time' would not be the same without this recognizable font, that leads the imagination back in time and mage ‘Miller Time' one of the most popular beer brands.

6. Air Millhouse Italic: Mountain Dew uses this clever font to market its soft drinks. Easily recognizable by the huge capital letters and robust look it provides Mountain Dew with a fresh and unique brand style.

7. Denmark Regular: This trademark font is used by soft-drink cola giant Pepsi and is one of the most recognizable brands in the world. Pepsi made themselves and their product campaign cool, which you can clearly see in this futuristic and slick font style.

8. Neck Candy: The dispensable candy maker PEZ has this very distinguishable font for their logo. The font looks to be made up of bricks laid on top of each other and casting shadows another unique and instantly recognisable brand label.

9. Snickers Normal: The Snickers sweet bar is a classic. This cursive, sporty font is easy to spot on the shelves, setting Snickers apart from the its competitors and boosting sales.

10. Oreos: America's favourite cookie, also has a very easily recognisable font. The letters are big, soft and round with a thick white outline.

These are ten examples of great fonts that have helped create synonymous market brands for some of the biggest names in the food and drinks industry on both a national and international scale. Having a unique and inspiring font on your business card, will surely set you apart from the crowd and make your clients and competitors take notice.
Top Ten Most Disturbing
I am getting bored at the gym. Include variety in your workouts or you risk becoming bored and will eventually avoid the gym altogether. There are hundreds of different exercises to perform. Observe, ask questions, and get creative.

The gym takes too long to get through my workout. Stop resting between sets unless you are an Olympic athlete. Resting between sets wastes time and prevents you from reaching your target heart rate. Power lifters rest between sets. You are not a power lifter, at least I hope not.

I do not belong to a gym. No problem. You do not need a gym. Use your body weight as resistance and be as creative as you can with pushing and pulling your own weight. Knee pushups are better than no pushups at all. Push against a chair or counter.

Wrap a towel around a door knob and pull your torso back and forth towards the door. Do straight back knee bends with no weight on your shoulders and your legs will begin to burn after 30 or 40 reps, so do 80.

I do not have time to work out. Yes, you do have time. If you watch any inkling of TV, then you have chosen to escape life and not work out. Engage in sit-ups and pushups while watching TV.

I live in an apartment complex and cannot get to a gym. Good. Run your apartment stairs in thick wool socks. The socks protect your feet and eliminate noise from the soles of your shoes. And, workout in your apartment pool, recreation center, or apartment playground.

All I have is a swimming pool. Excellent, perform resistance work in your pool. Stand vertical and push and pull the water. You hands are not over your head and you shoulders will benefit from proper positioning. You can also run water sprints and perform abdominal crunches in the pool. Get creative.

It is time we set our excuses aside and get creative when we workout. Maybe even replace the word workout with body movement. Body movement is really what we are after, and our body will reward us when we put it into action.
