Once they've anchored the emotions of confidence, when they find themselves in situations that demand self-confidence, touching the fingers together triggers memories of confidence that are useful in the present situation.
Another very powerful NLP technique called the "Flash" can be used to immediately replace painful feelings, which are typically connected with low self-confidence. Through this method, the person uses the mental pictures that cause negativity, to trigger mental images to produce a positive feeling.
For example, the person directs the subconscious to employ the visual cues that are triggering feelings of uncertainty, as triggers for visual images that cause perceptions of self-confidence. Visual cues trigger emotional responses.
