Games are just about everywhere now a days, with consoles like Xbox, Playstation, Super Nintendo, Wii and the likes. But this doesn't exclude the very large ONLINE gaming community. Old arcade games like Snake, Asteroids, & Tetris as well as new games like Tony Hawk & Tom Clancy trilogies are available everywhere online. Its almost over whelming the amount of sites that are available. When speaking about games in general there are sites like Pogo, AddictingGames, IWon etc.



But there are a lot more options than these. There are also gaming sites that offer the games I mentioned above, new and old, side by side. These are referred to as, you guessed it, "gaming sites". Then there are other sites that offer much more than just games to play online. They also offer a community of people, these are usually called "gaming forums".

From my experience most "gaming forums" actually weren't originally thought of as having games, they were just regular forums with topics and threads to help people out with certain things. But more and more people are realizing that a really fantastic way to get more people to join their forums, is to offer something else... games. And who doesn't love games?!? I know I do! Recently I went on a search to find some of the coolest most unique sites out there that are categorized as either gaming sites or gaming forums.

Ive found quite a few but there were two that really caught my eye. The first one is a site called Wtfuxup ok so its got a little catchy title. But its an easy to remember title and after you see this site, the title wont even matter anymore. This site boasts a coming soon headline about adding an extra 2500 games. That, is a lot of games! And there are some really cool ones on here. You also can sign up for an account to check your progress, which I suggest you doing.

The other site which is the gaming forum site is called The Arcade Forum. The forum alone on this site is pretty incredible even though its still a pretty new site and the webmaster is also a pretty ingenious guy that tries to make the site really interesting and fun. On the other side of this site you have the arcade, its a wondrous place I often get lost in! So many games, so little time! And new ones are added every week! These are two online gaming sites I would recommend anyone joining up with as soon as possible (well as soon as your done reading this article anyway).

The internet doesn't just have these types of game sites, there are others as well. Some sites are especially made with kids in mind. Take the Bratz gaming industry. These games are available on consoles as well as available online. The best one Ive seen so far was called Bratz-Dressup, I believe its the official Bratz Dress up site so you know they are going to have some really cool options available for your kids or your grandkids. Other dress up game sites are also available, sites such as DressUpGirl, TheDollPlace, and DressUpGames.

Don't worry there are also plenty of sites out there for your boys as well. Sites like Kaboose, TheKidzPage and many more. And for the creative kids there are tons upon tons of websites they can go on to color, draw, paint, even make kaleidoscopes. I wont lie my favorite Kaleidescope site of all time is called "Permadi". Its a really simple but fun flash game.

Even though there are all these really great sites out there for people, but for kids too, please make sure you always view the site before the child gets on it. Just to be extra safe! I hope everyone enjoys these sites as much as I have, have fun exploring them!
