If you get tired of the dreamy and quiet places, go to the Montmartre. Enjoy the peculiar atmosphere of animated streets, crowded by vendors and tourists. It seems that the very air of this area is filled with danger, adventures and merriment.

And going a bit further you’ll find yourself at the greatest flea market. This is the place where the past and the present collide…only here you can turn into a happy owner of a pharmaceutical vial of the 19th century or a silk top hat, which could have belonged to Maupassant.

Getting hungry, go to one of the numerous restaurants in the neighbourhood. Order a Tartar beafsteak – raw stuffing with unboiled egg and spices. The dish is very popular with the women who drive night taxis. These stern women know that the dish is very nourishing. At night go to the left bank of the Seine…here you’ll reveal one more shade of Paris with its life that never stops, idle walkers and vivid personalities who start living at night…your heart will be won…that’s when you’ll understand… that you’ll never understand the city!
