You might be tempted to say “actors," but that only works if the actor belongs to a hit television series or has a cluster of blockbuster movies to his/ her name. But hey, at least Scrubs fans will be happy to know that Zach Braff, who plays funny and adorable Dr. J.D. Dorian on the popular comedy series, is one of those fortunate actors. He has not only been a cast member of a highly-followed production for (at least) six seasons, but has also been given a new contract that’s worth more than $300, 000. Oh yes, that thousands upon thousands of dollars per episode! Just to reiterate, that’s per episode, and not per season.
Pretend that you're Braff for just one moment, and you will realize that in less than a year you could have enough money to buy the house AND car of your dreams.
But money isn’t everything right? Sure, you would be able to purchase anything that has a price tag if you owned all the cash in the world, but, at the risk of sounding incredibly cheesy, money can’t buy abstract things like love, peace and harmony.
It might be a good idea to say at this point that all this talk about money and how Braff is about to come into a lot of it doesn’t discount the fact that he truly deserves it. He is a fine and talented actor, who has not only shown prowess in both comedic and dramatic writing, but has also proven his talent in directing, writing and producing. He even won a Grammy Award in February 2005 for Garden State’s original soundtrack.
