A yeast infection is not contagious in the normal sense that we think of when we think of contagious. But, it can be passed along from person to person. You see, it does not float around in the air like germs. So in that sense, just by being in the vicinity of a person with a yeast infection, it is not contagious. But, because of the nature of a yeast infection, it can be transferred by contact.
Let me tell you just a little bit about what a yeast infection is, so that you can understand how the infection can pass.
The little bugger that causes a yeast infection is actually a fungus called Candida albicans.
Fungi are different from bacteria. They are more like a plant, so they need oxygen and moisture to survive. This fungus also survives by secreting an enzyme that breaks down the host that it is living on and absorbs them as nutrients.
These fungus then grow into yeast forms and mold forms. Yeast form refers to a single celled form. Where as mold form refers to a multi celled form. When it is in a mold form that is when the infection takes place and really causes problems.
Now these yeast and mold forms can be transmitted from person to person by contact and if the living conditions are right on the new person or host, the fungus makes itself at home.
My husband and I, for the first 4 months of our marriage, past the yeast infection back and forth causing all kinds of ongoing, costly, stressful and painful problems. Through trial and error and a lot of research, we finally found a solution to our yeast infection problem. Which leads us to our next big question.
How Do You Get Rid Of A Yeast Infection?
My husband and I tried everything for the first 4 months of our marriage to get of the yeast infection problem. We started out with the doctor and the medications he prescribed. Some of the medicine he prescribed gave some relief but we never could get rid of it and it kept rearing its ugly head.
I guess that had something to do with being newly weds. But, there was a period of time where we did not have contact of any kind and we still could not get rid of the yeast infection.
We searched the internet for a cure and ended up trying all kinds of strange, strange, things. Some of these things, we found out later, were more dangerous than the yeast infection. Actually there were a few of the treatments that did produce some relief, but did not completely get rid of the yeast infection.
Then we came across an informational product that promised to completely get rid of our yeast infection problem, and promised to get rid of it in just hours, not months that it was taking us. It also guaranteed that if we were not satisfied for any reason at all, we could get our money back.
My husband and I figured, what the heck. If it didn't work we wouldn't be out any money and we would know pretty quick if it was going to work. So we got the informational product and it did just what it said it would do.
We were very happy so we celebrated. Do you want to know how? We were newly weds so we......and we were happy again.
