First you have to figure how much time you have to dedicate to your new endeavor. Most opportunities will claim you can make a fortune in just a few hours per week. That sounds so enticing, but in reality that is not the case.
Like any other money making plan of action, it takes time and effort to make life changing money. If it didn't take hard work and dedication everyone would suceed in the home business arena. The fact is 95% of people fail. The reason being is that they just don't persist, and do not do what it takes to make their business successful.
Okay so now you know the first big step...Hard work. You will not transform your finances over night, because there is a learning curve. It does not mater what type of business you in, MLM, direct sales or whatever, there is a lot to learn
When you are sure you have what it takes to focus and dedicate your time and efforts then you need to take the next step. That would be picking a business or program that you feel strongly about.
If you decide on an MLM business be prepared to do some work outside the home. There are meetings and action groups that are held weekly. There is also learning the products, which there are normally 100's, and then there is the complex compensation plan. Direct sales is, well, a lot more direct!
In my opinion the quickest way to success and profit is in the direct sales internet marketing business. You have no quotas to meet, no products to stock, and the commissions dwarf that of what you will find in the MLM businesses.
When your decision has been made as to which business opportunity you will pursue, you then need to take a look at who will be sponsoring you into the program. Look for a leader who can help you achieve your goals by showing you the way. Make sure he or she is accessible...that they answer their phone and emails! Because they won't be much help if you can never get them on the phone.
Now that you have chosen the business and the person you feel comfortable with as your sponsor, you need an organized schedule in which you will work the business. You need to work around your current obligations, while pusuing this new opportunity. Whether it be early mornings before work, or late nights and weekends, a schedule is a must to keep you on track.
For those of you with more time it will be a quicker transition, but even if you have only an hour or two a day the key is to do something every day to advance your knowledge and apply what you have learned! That is the key to it all persistence. If you are persist in your efforts there is no way you can lose.
