During a colon hydrotherapy session, copious amounts of water are used to flush the colon completely. This is done without the aid of drugs or chemicals, so the procedure is relatively safe with few side effects. The water is gently pushed into the colon via a tube in the rectum, and the water is warmed to body temperature for the patient's comfort. Reputable hydrotherapy technicians will use disposable equipment to eliminate the possibility of cross contamination from patient to patient.
What can I expect?

This will allow plenty of time for orientation and paperwork, especially if this is your first visit. About thirty gallons of warm water will be gently pushed into the colon and back out again during the procedure. Although it seems like a lot of water, it is necessary to completely cleanse the colon of impacted feces.
