Good At Starting Fires
Aydan Corkern
Do you know that you can't have a spray that is flammable near anything that is hot or near fire? It is a bad idea to do that because it can spread everywhere you can think of. They are to be put in a place where it is a right temperature for these things. Things like cooking spray, hair spray, and all purpose cleaners should be kept in a storage area away from heat. These sprays are very dangerous and should not be played with.
Cooking spray is butter or oil in a can. It helps our food not stick. But it is very flammable near fire and will start a fire. If you are cooking, don't spray the pan on the stove because of the burner. It will be like a big explosion of fire coming right off your stove and it can and will burn you bad. Most of the time, it is a second-degree burn or a third-degree burn, which can give you blisters or take off your skin. That is why it says not to place it near fire or any heat. It is for your loved ones and your protection. Keep them away from your kids because the smaller ones don't know any better, and they are always getting into things.
Pledge and all purpose cleaners are also very flammable. They are dangerous to get in the eyes and in your mouth because it can make you swell up. If it is close to a fire, the can will explode and you will hear a big bang. The can will shoot everywhere and if you are not safe from the explosion, it can cut into your skin or be lodged into your organs. Cleaning agents like this are to be put in the cabinet or in the kitchen closet so it is out of a place where it can harm you and your family. If you have a garage built into your house, you can store it there. That would be the best thing to do but if you don't, a closet will be just fine.
Hair spray is a very, very flammable liquid. If you put it in front of a lighter and start spraying the flame can be like a dragon's flame coming out of its mouth. It is very big, and it can set your hand on fire so don't do it. Sometimes, professionals will come to your schools and show your kids what can happen, but they have to be careful so that they don't burn themselves.
