The link to Thatcham eScribe will enable estimators, engineers, assessors and bodyshop operatives to easily access all panel repair methods and information. Thatcham eScribe contains all the crash repair data produced by Thatcham dating back to 1996 and includes 132 model specific manuals. Additionally, the 1873 TTS based Repair Time Schedules cover over 291 models and derivatives.
Currently, the crash repair industry accesses inconsistent estimating data from a variety of sources, resulting in significant variations in recommended repair times, methodology and costs. The industry largely acknowledges that this unsatisfactory state of affairs can only be addressed through the adoption of a single, independent source of repair data that will provide the trade with up-to-date and consistent information. EurotaxGlass's utilises data and methodology sourced through Thatcham eScribe, and is a sponsor of the Thatcham/BSI Kitemark initiative. With its forthcoming TTS accreditation and eScribe integration within Glassmatix, EurotaxGlass's is spearheading the drive towards greater consistency and quality certification.
?We are working closely with Thatcham to ensure that all our products and services are of the highest possible quality,? says Iain Burkinshaw, Business Development Manager at EurotaxGlass's. ?What repairers and insurers require is consistent, accurate information from a single, reliable source of data provision. It makes sense to us that the insurers use the data provided by the body that they themselves help to fund.?
Jason Moseley Director of Quality and IT Business Systems adds ?We are delighted that one of our important strategic partners is capitalising on the very cornerstone of Thatcham's data. Never has the crash repair industry needed more seamless integration between repair times and methods in the current environment of advancing vehicle technology?
