It would depend on perms, other processed involved in hair coloring and time given for the color to work on your hair. You should not get tempted by the idea of adding more color to your hair or try to remove color from your hair at home using bleach or some such harsh chemicals.

Hair color which we see is actually caused by the reflection of light on the pigment of hair shaft. Hair colors of various shades and hues are produced using various colors which would add or subtract from the hair color finally produced. Generally, too ashy or beige hair color would not match your skin tone. Try to use warm or golden colors which give your skin more healthy, youthful glow. If you do not like the result of your hair coloring, you should not panic and then rush to look for a solution. This might cause you more harm.

"You should not condition your hair a few hours before you get your hair dyed. It is better that you get it shampooed.

"You should choose a color one shade lighter while dying hair roots. In case you would want to get back to your natural hair color, it would be much more pleasant because it would not show any hair root which is colored completely different.

"You should protect your skin using a towel around your neck to avoid any skin irritation caused by these dyes. It would also protect your clothes.

"For applying dyes safely, gloves should be used.

"Petroleum jelly or creams should be applied around ear and neck to remove any stains.
