You'll need to do this when the tassels have turned a dark brown and the rear part of the sheath is pulled to the check quality of the liquid. If a watery liquid squirts out, it indicates that the ear is still unripe, if the discharge is creamy, it means that the ear is just appropriate for harvesting and if the liquid is thick and solid, it is pointer that you have well crossed the harvesting period. You should cook the corn quickly after you pick it because it is the most ripe then. If you grow corn the right way, it will taste great.
