Most people do not know how much fun they can have by playing soccer. A soccer game can be played on any large field though the professional games of soccer are generally played in fields that are set up for the game throughout the year. There are many neighborhood soccer teams out there and some of them have taken the time to ready a field for playing soccer or practicing it at some time during the year. Local schools will probably be a good place for kids to play soccer because many schools have added soccer to their curriculum.

Schools hold classes to teach kids the basics of soccer. They learn that soccer is one of the few games that allows only one person to use their hands. All other contact with the ball in soccer must be done by using the feet and some people will even use their head to hit a soccer ball while out on the soccer field. Most players think that their teammates are brilliant when they use their heads to hit the ball because it is a hard shot to make.

Students will also be taught that it is the goalie who gets to use their hands during the game. The goalie is responsible for blocking various scoring attempts throughout the game and the teammates have found that they are very good at their job because the team has scored big wins over other teams due to the blocking ability of their goalie. Some players will use their hands and commit a foul in the process.

Parents are very supportive when their child shows interest in playing soccer. Soccer is a great way for children to get exercise and have fun while they are doing it. Some kids will practice for hours all by themselves to get the techniques in moving the ball with their feet perfected. After a while, moving the ball with the feet will become second nature and the child will begin to perform very well on the field during a game.
