It's the latest revolution in skincare. Virtually every skincare line is factoring in the use of anti-oxidants like Vitamin C Esther and Vitamin E products to counter-act the wrinkling and dry skin that comes with age. But the good news is the best way to harvest the anti-aging benefits of these anti-oxidants is in your diet.
Look out for foods like melons, cantaloupes, strawberries, spinach, apples and almonds to snack on. This is a case of beauty really coming from the inside. Always try and pick fruits and veggies that are bright in color for great anti-oxidant effects.
Dark, leafy green vegetables and berries are amazing. Try and eat a handful every day. Berries and nuts are an almost perfect combination and good for you in multiple ways.
And please don't forget that Omega 3's are good for you as well. Recent studies have shown that omega 3 fatty acids such as those found in salmon, mackerel, tuna, sardines and other fish as well as in walnuts and other sources are VERY beneficial for the skin.
You can take omega 3's internally in capsule form as well in the form of fish or cod liver oil. Don't wrinkle your nose, modern technology renders the oil virtually tasteless or you can buy it in lemon flavor for instance. Be sure you get a good quality fish oil with NO MERCURY.
Don't despair on the topical applications either. Find a compounding pharmacy near you and ask them to make up a face cream that is fortified with vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin A.
Apply at least twice daily, morning and bedtime. Works just as well for men as for women.
