The lab is also an excellent bird dog because of it's ability to carry fowl of all sizes. It has a broad head and strong jaws that are able to carry doves, pheasant, and Canada geese. They have a heavy body and strong legs that make for excellent swimming, with natural colors of yellow, black, or chestnut. This moderate sized dog is an excellent choice for a hunter looking to add to his pheasant hunting game, and they'll be a perfect pet for the family in the off-season.
