Costa Rica truly has a little something for each. You probably think of yellow beaches first and you are proper. Both coasts suggest amazing beaches that can variety in design from secluded beaches miles long to beaches rotund of event revelers.

Ah, but Costa Rica is much more than just beaches. It has world brand coil surfing on Lake Arenal, stunning eco-tourism opportunities in sheltered drop forests and so much more. Oh, and the food is tremendous.

Ah, but now I am just throwing language of publicity around. You require some truth, so here are a few on the country.

In 1502, Christopher Columbus made the first European landfall in the spot. It was his fourth journey the Americas. That being said, it took the Spanish another twenty days actually to reconcile the country.

The Spanish discovered the country and had visions of mammoth amounts of gold. They never found it, but overcame the disappointment and developed down into agriculture.

In 1821, Costa Rica tied other Spanish provinces in a seam declaration of independence from Spain. It took 21 more days to expand independence as a country.

The country is a Republic in Central America, encircled by Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the south with the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean to the east.

Costa Rica has four mountain ranges. Also known as cordilleras, they are Guanacaste and Tilaran in the north of the country and Central and Talamanca in the south. Many of the mountains are hidden volcanoes as Costa Rica is part of the Pacific "Rim of Fire."

Costa Rica has big earthquake issues. The last foremost quake hit on April 22, 1991. Centering on the Caribbean border southeast of San Jose. It slowed 7.4 on the Richter level.

Despite having only forcibly one tenth of one percent of the world's atoll, it contains a monstrous five percent of the biodiversity in the world.

The Terrain is amazing with dull areas to the north contrasting with spit jungle in the south. Beaches line the coasts to the east and south. The principal zone of the country is mountainous with sleeping volcanoes.

Calypso harmony makes hip hop sound boring. Costa Ricans dear the calypso and you'll find it as the major sound in the country. Fortunately, the country seems to disparage most American pop, so little Michael Jackson will be heard.

There are Seven Provinces in Costa Rica - Alajuela, Cartago, Guanacaste, Heredia, Limn, Puntarenas, and San Jos.
