Anyone who is looking to buy a new , I guess, would be interested in the answer. But, there are more than 30 different brands of mattresses in Singapore , and collectively, they have made more than 500 different models available to the Singapore market. It seems incredulous that anyone could answer the above question accurately, and not to mention, that the defination of what "Best" is, differs for individuals.
Having sold more than 12,000 pcs of mattresses in the past 3 years through , I would make an humble attempt to answer the above question.
Let's start with us settling on the defination of what "Best" is, in this research, or else, all comparisons and results will be futile and without meaning. For this very purpose, let's use "the best quality and comfort according to users" as the defination of best. But the problem with that defination, is that it excludes the price component, and if we go according to that defination, the highest price mattress will win. And that defeats the purpose of helping us choose the best mattress as we all purchase mattress with a budget in mind, right?
So, what i have done is give a score to "Quality" and "Comfort" and divide the number by it's price. So the mattress with the highest points per dollar cost will be the winner.
Since Beds.sg was started 3 years ago, our team have been actively asking our customers to rate the mattresses they purchased. As a result, we accumulated thousands of ratings from customers on almost a hundred different models of mattress. Using the ratings, I striked off a number of brands from beds.sg which perfomed lowly on the ratings.
Using the remaining models, I took their overall rating points and divided it by its cost, thus getting an accurate score for determining our previously determined defination of "Best Mattress in Singapore"
We had also split the mattresses into the 2 most common categories, "Bonnel Spring Mattress" and "Pocketed Spring Mattress".
