There are numerous factors concerning skin that you cannot control, but you can encourage your skin to glow by eating well. There are foods and drinks that are better for your skin than others. Some foods carry vitamins and nutrients that are essential to your skin for becoming stronger, clearer, and healthier and by eating them you will be able to reap the benefits.
Starting with some refreshing drinks to get your skin moisturized, revitalized, and ready to battle you can enjoy some delicious papaya or mango smoothies. These tropical fruits have carotene in them, which fights the free radicals that damage your skin when they are released by UV. If you aren't too big on sweets then you can have a hot cup of green tea, which is loaded with polyphenols, antioxidants, and vitamin E. Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties that help lessen pimples and smoothes out your skin.
Now that you've quenched your thirst you might be a getting a little hungry for good skin. Whatever you decide to cook up just make sure that it has plenty of garlic. The sulfur compounds in garlic are excellent for your skin. If you don't want to eat garlic because you fear having bad breathe then don't worry. Eat some parsley afterwards and not only will it help sweeten your breath, but it will do a wonders for your skin as well. Parsley has vitamin A, vitamin B12, vitamin C, folic acid, and iron.
Vitamin A helps healing the epithelial tissues, which your skin has the biggest expanse of epithelial tissue. B vitamins help your skin carry out their functions like keeping your skin moisturized. Vitamin C helps maintain and form collagen which is the underlying supporting structure of your skin. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that reduces the aging of skin cells. It is important that your skin is supplied with all of these vitamins, so that it can look healthy and clear. For that reason you must eat lots of carrots because they are rich with Vitamin A. The greatest source of vitamin C you can find is in citrus fruits and berries. They are sweet, delicious and excellent for making your skin look young. Keep your pores from clogging up you need to eat food with essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6. Omega-3 and Omega-6 reduce inflammation and there fore help pores from becoming clogged.
Fish overall is a great source of these essential fatty acids. By eating tuna, mackerel, and salmon you can clear up your skin. If you are not a seafood fan no worries nature has provided you with an alternative you can have a handful of almonds during your snack time. Eating for healthy skin does not have to be gross. You can enjoy plenty of nature's candy (fruit) and tasty foods. It doesn't have to be beet smoothies and eggplant kebabs. So eat your way to glowing and clear skin.
