Complications

With this surgery, you are going to experience some swelling but that swelling could take months to heal and cause extra pressure on your nerves which can cause tingling or numbness in your limbs. You could develop an infection. Sometimes, if you opt for ultrasound assisted fat removal, you could get burns from the ultrasound probe, or you could even do damage to your organs. Sometimes the probing cannula can puncture intestines or other organs. With some types of fat removal surgery, fluid is injected into the body and some fluid is removed with the fat tissue. This could cause a fluid imbalance or even pulmonary edema.

Less Risky Procedure

The best method of fat removal for people who are healthy is to have the procedure done with tumescent anesthesia and as an outpatient. Trying to do too much at once (removing too much fat, for instance) can result in a complicated surgery as can doing too many types of surgery at once. Make sure you find a good doctor and make sure you take your surgery slowly. You can take your time and let yourself heal between surgeries it is the best way to minimize the risks of liposuction.

This is a surgery and, like every other kind of surgery, there are going to be risks involved. There is no such thing as a risk-free surgery, even for a tiny bit of liposuction.
