He could be without USC's top two receivers this week--2005 Biletnikoff Award finalist and All-American first team WR Dwayne Jarrett (shoulder), who is the Pac-10's career touchdown catch recordholder, and Trojan Top 10 WR Steve Smith (ankle)--but sophomore WR Patrick Turner had a big showing last week.
The Trojans, victorious in 50 of their last 52 games, possess some impressive winning streaks: 29 home games, 26 Pac-10 games and 20 Pac-10 home games (all are Pac-10 records), as well as 17 consecutive October victories.
The Trojans figure to be greatly favored again in their next three games, against Arizona State at home and Oregon State and Stanford on the road. Then their final four games should test them, although three, against No. 18 Oregon, No. 10 California and No. 9 Notre Dame -- are at the Coliseum, where USC has won 29 straight.
