My Most Favorite Dessert
Joana M. Carlson
Frequently served hot with milk or ice cream, the brownie remains the most appraised dessert of all ages. It is sometimes deliciously covered with chocolate icing or  can also be flavored with mint or vanilla.
Extremely rich in chocolate, small sized and brown colored; these are what come to our mind when we speak of brownies.
Here are some brownie recipes that you can try if you have a little time:
 == Brownies (Basic Version)
~ 1 sq (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate ~ 1 tsp vanilla ~ 1 egg ~ 1/4 tsp salt ~ 1/4 tsp soda ~ 1/4 cup margarine or butter ~ 3/4 cup sugar ~ 2 tbsp milk ~ 2/3 cup flour
Mix together the flour, soda and salt. Let the butter and chocolate melt together in the top of a double boiler over boiled water. Remove from heat. Blend in the sugar little by little, while keep beating thoroughly.
Add egg and beat well. Add the dry ingredients and mix well along with milk and vanilla. Spread over baked butterscotch base. Let it bake around 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool then cut into bars.
== Brownies With Caramel & Oatmeal
The Base:
~ 1/8 tsp salt ~ 1/4 tsp soda ~ 1/3 cup sifted flour ~ 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine ~ 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar ~ 1 cup oatmeal
Mix together the flour, soda and salt. Insert the brown sugar and oatmeal; whip until unified. The add the margarine or butter to mix again until you see that the mixture is solidified. Now apply pressure with your hands into an ungreased 8X8 by 2 inch pan. Now Bake for 10 mins at 350 degrees and then serve.
 == Snicker Bar Brownies
~ 3/4 cup melted margarine ~ 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk ~ 1 Large bag Snickers or Milk Way Bars ~ 1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
Mix cake mix with melted margarine and condensed milk. Pour about 1/2 of the mixture into a pan (13 by 9). Let bake for about 10 mins at 350 degrees.
Cut candy bars into little slices. Set these on top of the baked crust. Crumble the remaining batter on the candy bars top. This will give it a cool texture.
You don't have to make it smooth by spreading it on the top.   Insert into the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
 == Banana Brownies
~ 3 cups flour ~ 2 tsp baking soda ~ 6 very ripe bananas ~ 1 cup butter ~ 1 tsp vanilla ~ 1 tsp salt ~ 3/4 cup sugar ~ 3/4 cup brown sugar ~ 3 eggs ~ 1 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter. Drop sugars, vanilla, bananas and eggs. Combine well. Drop salt, flour & soda and combine well. Drop in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
Spread into greased 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips on its top.
== Fudge Mint Brownies
