NLP is an understanding of how we code our life experiences and give them meaning. By understanding this, we can use strategies and techniques to create change in our behaviour and results, which help us to maximise our potential. NLP is widely applicable, for example:
Sports men and women can use NLP to access instant motivation and achieve consistent peak performance.
For business people there are specific tools which enable you to become more effective in your communication and in understanding the individual motivational strategies of your colleagues.
Teachers can learn how to meet the needs of individual learning styles to offer better opportunities to their students.
Sales and marketing people can learn how to gain instant rapport, understand how customers use buying strategies and customise their language to have greater influence.
For those interested in helping others or themselves to be free of negative emotions from the past, NLP is widely used in therapeutic environments due to the speed of the therapeutic effect.
Now I want to emphasise that this free NLP event is not a positive thinking seminar, so if you're currently having negative thoughts, it's ok! Positive thinking alone is not enough to create change, you also need to take action.
See here's the thing about positive thinking. My partner has a dog called Duke. If you've ever had a dog, it might be a little bit like Duke. We have this silly trick with him where we go to throw a ball and never actually let go of it, and Duke runs after it and looks up into the sky like “Damn, it must be up there somewhere!” Seriously, he actually does this, puts his doggy paws on his hips, scratches his head! How many of you can relate this to your own lives, looking up as if to say “please, please give me what I want, please…” Now if I could give Duke all of the positive thinking in the world, is it going to make the ball fall out of the sky? No. You see positive thinking is only part of it. What People Building NLP is going to teach you is the skills, the strategies to get you what you actually want. We're going to teach you how to keep your eye on the ball.
You see, Duke could go to a positive thinking seminar but it wouldn't make the ball fall out of the sky. How often do you even, ever, stop? Would you say that the only time they ever stop is when you go to sleep? And I bet you can't even do that properly. I bet you get busy brain right at the point when you need to go to sleep. I want to show you how to get it, the happiness, the riches, the quality of life. The ball.
