In 1984, Honda Civic models had its first released. Upon entering the new millennium by the year 2002, the SI was once again redesigned and improved. However, its hatchback shape is still retained. Its new version has list of some improvements that includes vehicle stability assist, body-color-grille, darker silver wheel, deck lid spoiler, and a reversal of the color scheme of black or red as the secondary gauges. For the new 2008 model, the Honda Civic SI underwent some minor changes such as: the coupe has a revised spring rate, the upper arm contained a new rear, and sensor monitor which is tire pressured.

With several redesigning it undergone since 1984 up to the present, improvements just would never stopped for its adherents to continue to patronize Civic SI.
