This was a highly anticipated release and included many enhancements that Windows users had been looking forward to for some time. However, there have been some problems reported with Vista and unless you are having some issues with your current version of Windows, you might want to wait to upgrade.

At the same time, for those who are looking at purchasing a new pc and wondering which Windows operating system to choose, the experts say that Vista is certainly stable enough. It makes sense when buying a new computer to go ahead and get the most current operating system available, as long as it will be trouble free.

That said, unless you are unhappy for some reason with your current version of Windows, the expense of upgrading to Windows Vista is really not justified at this point. That will undoubtedly change when the software publishers start releasing new versions. You will also need to consider the cost of upgrading those software packages when that time comes.
