Or mix the absorbent to a paste with cleaning fluid, spread the paste on the stain and let it dry. After it has dried, brush or vacuum it off. This might have to be repeated a number of times. Absorbents will not harm any material, and solvents mixed with them and applied to GREASE STAINS rarely leave a ring.
