Not all external inbound links are created equal. A link from the most popular website in your category will increase your page rank more than a link from a popular but unrelated website. New web pages found by search engines indexing an external website tend to rank better than those deliberately submitted to search engines.
3. Higher Keyword Density Increases Page Rank Search engine algorithms use the keyword density of your content to determine how relevant your site is for a given keyword or search phrase. Generally speaking, websites with a higher keyword density will rank higher in search engine results pages. Meta tags are data included in the html code specifically to tell search engines what the page is about. Poor Meta tag selection and placement can adversely affect your page rank. Meta Tag data is less important today than it was in the past.

The text used to link webpages within your website domain and the relevance of those links can effect your page rank. The text used to link to external websites also affects your websites ranking.

The higher the quality of your content, the more popular your content, the more people will visit your website, the higher your search engine ranking.
