Today there are so many different types of riding toys it would be very hard to pick just one. In the early days there were only a few, for example, one of the earliest was the little red wagon, and if you were lucky enough to own one you can remember I'm sure, how much fun it was to ride in your wagon and be pulled along by a friend or a family member. These wagons are still available today, now being made by several different companies. In the early days I believe Radio flyer was one of the first companies to make the little red wagon. Today one can find almost any type of riding toy that comes to mind. There are riding tractors, race cars, airplanes, riding trucks, bicycles, and just about anything that comes to mind you will be able to find in a riding toy today.
There are many types of battery powered riding toys also available. For the younger set there are still many of the old stand by toys around, like the rocking horse, bicycles with training wheels for the little ones just starting out. Others would include things like push-pedal type cars, toy ride-on fire engines, lawn tractors, and on the newer side, I even saw a motorcycle rocking horse the other day.
In the powered type riding toys, there are many to choose from, like a battery powered jeep 4x4, 3-wheel motorcycles, and many others all made on a smaller scale for the younger kids. You might want to purchase some safety equipment for the beginner here as many of the battery powered toys do move along faster than the pedal type.
Today there are toy copies of many of the cars we drive everyday, like the Ford Mustang, Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Wrangler, and in Motorcycles, there are copies of Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, and a few others. There is also a copy of some of the Monster trucks, like Grave Digger, and Big Foot. All of these copies are sure sellers in the riding toy market today.
On the girls side there are copies of a Barbie Cadillac Escalade, A Barbie Jammin' Jeep Wrangler, and the Dora Explorer Jeep Wrangler. All of these are big sellers. This is just a few of the new riding toys in the stores today, many more will come I'm sure in the near future. Keep in mind most of these toys are not cheap, some of the bigger riding toys can set you back two are three hundred dollars and more for name brand products. All of the major discount stores carry most of the name brands, if for some reason you can't find what you are looking for; check online. All of the major stores have a website, where most of their riding toys will be displayed, along with prices.
One thing is for sure, if you have not checked out the toy stores lately, you will be surprised and I believe a little amazed at all of the new riding toys that are available.
