More and more we are seeing people from other countries enter our country bringing with them a foreign language. The schools are even teaching more foreign languages than ever before. Make sure you get all the training you need; as you will need it for any job. Keep up to date on any training you may need. Customers need to feel that you know what you are doing. Get all the education you can on the computer, you will need it for all of the transactions, invoicing, and any reports. Keep being updated on all the trends of the business. Also, it is very important that you know all the best locations for traveling. Get your certificate as a Certified Travel Counselor; it is an extra value when getting a job.

When becoming a travel agent, it is all up to the person's interest; and not more. So, if the person is happy at what he/she is doing, the pay should not matter!
