Remedy For Eye Stye
Corwin Brown
An Eye Stye (sty) is a common infection of the hair follicle of an eyelash. Due to eye styes it causes a sore similar to a pimple in the gland at the edge of the eyelid which leads to blockage of the hair follicles that may become swollen. It is develops when a gland at the edge of the eyelid becomes infected. This disease does not affect the vision. This condition is seen more often in children than in adults.
Eye styes can be treated at home by applying a very warm, wet, clean wash cloth to the tender area. This moist heat application should be done about four times a day, for about ten minutes at each treatment. This will aid in the supporation of the stye. Supporation is the forming of a head on an infection. The leukocytes (or white blood cells), travel to the infection to fight it. The heat from the warm, moist compresses speeds up the leukocytes' travel, thus fascilitating the forming of the head on the stye. Once the stye ruptures, the pressure is relieved and the pain and swelling subsides. Never put your fingers in your eye. Your hands are full of germs. If you see a doctor, he may prescribe some antibiotic cream for the stye.
You should be taken 1 teaspoon of turmeric in 2 cups of water until it reduces in half. Cool and strain 4-5 times through a fine muslin. You should apply as eye drops 3-4 times a day. Because it helps to treat stye.
You can also use acacia leaves, in which Boil a handful of acacia leaves in two cups of water to make a decoction and then you should apply it as compress on the eyelids. It helps to cure eye stye.
The best way to prevent sties is simply to wash your hands regularly and avoiding touching your eyes. It's especially important for children, who may rub their eyes when tired or under stress, to be taught to wash their hands after going to the bathroom or finishing an activity. For people with normal immune systems, sties aren't terribly contagious but they can spread from person to person through touch.
Boil a teaspoon of coriander seeds with a cupful of water for a while, like an herbal tea preparation. Use this to wash the eyes 3-4 times a day.
Surgical drainage of the stye may also be necessary if the stye is not responding to treatment.
Guava leaves, warmed and placed on a warm damp cloth, and then used as a compress; reduce the redness, pain and swelling.
There is no better substitute than warm compression for the treatment of eye stye. Apply this for 10-15 minutes 3-4 times a day for several days in a row. This is a guaranteed pain reliever and also helps in the formation of a head of the pimple. Once this ruptures and the fluid inside drains out, you get healed.
Gently scrub the eyelid with tap water or with a mild, nonirritating soap or shampoo (such as baby shampoo). This may help with drainage. Close your eyes as you scrub so you do not injure your eyes. A good remedy for eye stye.
