Ways To Keep Your Brochure Writing Strong
Chelsea Nicole
in particular require a lot more writing than your average advertisement, and can push a lot of people to their limits. Here are some things to consider to make the process a little easier for you.
First off the headlines are going to be a key part of any strong brochure. Headlines need to first guide a person through the brochure. Each headline needs to cover a specific point, and the main headline needs to set up the brochure as a whole and let a person know exactly what they're going to be reading about.
Headlines need to also be able to give people a good gauge of all of the things the brochure is going to be talking about. If someone just picks up your brochure to glance through it you want to be sure your headlines can give them enough information so that they walk away fully informed.
Also when it comes to headlines you want to address them specifically to your customers. Figure out different ways to phrase things so that your audience will know what you're saying and connect with the material. Refer to things in their life, or figure out a way to connect your brochure to something they'll know a lot about.
Now, getting into the brochure itself you need to be sure that you keep your paragraphs rather short and your sentences direct and to the point. Long paragraphs can turn a person away from a brochure because it looks like too much text to read.
If you open up a brochure and see a massive wall of text you're likely to not want to bother dealing with it. This always just makes it harder to read and harder for a person to keep track of where they are.
Use a larger number of shorter paragraphs to make your point. I would always consider spacing out the text enough so that it can be a decent size while still giving you enough room to write all that you need to.
On a more minor note I would also avoid using things like italics or bold too much. The more you use them the less meaningful they become. If only used in a few key moments those moments become more noticeable and more important to your overall brochure.
Don't let the writing scare you away if you want to . With a little practice you can churn out some very effective material.
