An alpha male is in charge of his world and what goes on in it, and women find men attractive that are confident, poised, and in control of their lives. To pick up women, you are going to want to convey the control you have over your own life, your world, and your reality.

When attempting to attract women, you need to express confidence. The confidence that you express stems from how you feel in your everyday life and your everyday existence, outside of your experiences with the woman or the women you are trying to attract.

A significant rule of thumb that you should master when learning how to pick up a woman is that, how you lead your life outside of your dating and social interactions with women will be identifiable in your actions when you do finally interact with women.

A man needs to express some of his likes, dislikes, or desires clearly when he interacts with a woman, and part of the latter notion involves creating one's own reality and inviting a woman to enter into that reality for a little while. How is this done?

Well, for one thing, a man needs to be assertive during an interaction where he is trying to attract a woman. Now, assertive is not the same as aggressive, and this should be remembered. By assertive, I mean that a man should take the time to say what he would like to do on a date, where he would like to take a woman, and he should be comfortable expressing what he likes or does not like.

Women appreciate a man that isn't afraid to take the initiative, and to be a leader during interactions with her. In contrast, too much of anything is never good. You don't want to be aggressive when you are trying to be a pickup artist and attract women.

Instead, you really want to place an emphasis on sharing the spotlight with a woman, and let her invite you into her reality for a little while once in a while. It's okay for a woman to make some decisions during dating, and a man and a woman interact best when the initiating acts that bring them together are shared.

Being an alpha male doesn't mean that you are an aggressor. You are, instead, the initiator in many instances, and willing to clearly define your likes, dislikes, and/or interests. When a man acts as the initiator when he is attempting to attract women, he subtly suggests his interest in a woman, and that he is not afraid to express or direct that interest!

Today, even in some social circles, women feel awkward about being the initiator and may not try to initiate a relationship or announce their interest in a man; men have the advantage of the expectation society still has of them: to be the initiator and to try to approach women!

That's right, men can be a little more comfortable with the notion that it is often expected that men will initiate a conversation or a suggestion for a date, and it is just a little bit less awkward if a man makes the first move to pick up a woman.

When you are assertive, a woman knows that you are completely confident about who you are and where you are going in your life. Finally, confidence is an incredible asset when you are attempting to attract women!
