We use conversational hypnosis anyway. Usually without thinking about it. "You'll never be any good at ..." is a post hypnotic suggestion that you've almost certainly used or had used on you. The trick is to stop and think about what you're saying. Not stop for so long that every .... word .... takes .... forever .... to be uttered. Just long enough to think about the consequences of what you're saying and swap in a new word or two if they will have a better effect on the person you're talking to. With the right tuition and some practice, this becomes easier and easier. One of the hypnosis forefathers, Milton Erickson, was excellent at this. He would weave his hypnotic commands into stories, so that even the most reluctant subject would be hypnotized, often without realizing.

As many a famous practitioner of NLP and other powerful mind sciences has commented - NO ONE can get some else to DO something they truly do NOT want to do. That suggests force, or intimidation, or worse. Conversational hypnosis techniques work on a MUCH deeper level of human psychology and desire: The suggestibility of the subconscious mind. This is FAR more powerful as it speaks to an innate understanding of the subject, and a deep understanding and APPRECIATION for human nature as a whole. The most masterful practitioners of conversational hypnosis and other mind "control" techniques are simply guiding, reinforcing and gently leading their audience (of 1 or 100) into a state of agreement and acknowledgment. That's it. It's basic, but a VERY sophisticated skill that will change your LIFE in rapid, record setting time...but will NOT turn you into a manipulative monster unless you were one to BEGIN with. (in which case you should simply ignore anything to do with hypnosis across the board).
