Birmingham, which is placed in the West Midlands, is the second biggest metropolis in the UK. Indeed, the city's vast population is second only to that of London.Much of Birmingham city centre was destroyed throughout the 2nd World War, and ugly replacement domiciles were hastily erected. On the other hand, since the 1990s, Birmingham has been undergoing numerous radical changes and a number of the post war erections present been superseded. The majority of the city centre is now pedestrianised, and the canals display also been cleaned up to make them look more attractive.
Birmingham is a novel, buzzing and cosmopolitan city. With vibrant night life, awesome hotels, sensational shopping opportunities and unique tourist pull, it is a terrific place to see for a weekend away or short holiday.Birmingham also has some phenomenal architecture to look at, including the Bullring Shopping centre. The Bullring was made, at a cost of ?500 million by Benoy and is a striking, futuristic structure.
One of the foremost things about Birmingham has to be its renowned , galleries and attractiveness which are laughter and educational for all the family. One of the choice is Dudley Zoo, which is in the grounds of Dudley Castle and has some incredible animals that are set over 40 acres of sightly greenery. Some of our other favourites include the Birchills Canal Museum, Selly Manor and Bantock House.
Birmingham has a bustling city centre that is packed with top high street stores, so it is a divine venue for shopaholics to pay a call. Howbeit, serious shoppers might prefer to take in the city's Bullring shopping middle. In fact, the Bullring is enormous and fanfaronades 160 stores, including some redoubtable names such as Ann Summers, Office and Debenhams. It has also has an extremely large Selfridges store and over 25 restaurants, which means that you can truly spend the whole day there.
