Two types

Radiation therapy can be divided into two types - external radiation therapy and the brachytherapy. The radiation process has to be conducted weekly or as per prescribed by the doctor. The effect of radiation can last for a few days and then again you need to apply the same procedure.

In brachytherapy the rays are radiated internally directly on the tumor region. You have to take the clinical assistance for days to undergo this therapeutic process and have to be hospitalized during the period when the therapy will be conducted.

In either of the therapies complete healing is never assured but you can stay better till you are alive.
