Many men pass through adolescence experiencing an enlargement of their breasts. For Gynecomastia that is caused by disorders of the liver, hyperthyroidism or hypogonadism, the underlying diseases should first undergo therapy before Gynecomastia is reversed. The liver usually inactivates the estrogen found in the blood. A defective liver will not do this thus leading to a raise in estrogen levels, which in turn enhances the growth of the male breasts. Typically, if a man has man boobs or Gynecomastia conditions that links to these causes, surgery is required to remove the tissue and fat and reshape the man boobs so that they are formed the way a man boobs are suppose to look.
