Are all MLM scams? No there are legitimate MLM opportunities out there, unfortunately there are some that pitch get rich quick and usually are scams. This type of promotion gets people in thinking they have found the right opportunity. Unfortunately most people jump in with out doing any research and end up crying scam. There are some easy things to do before joining a company to help you find the right one for you.
There is no problem in finding MLM companies today, the internet is full of them. Finding the right company with the right product for you is important. This can be different for every one out there. When you are looking for a company, look for a product that you want to use for your own personal use and is not overpriced. The fact is that 98% of the people will drop out and MLM companies know that. Why the high drop out rate? People who get in for the opportunity are less likely to stay in the company after 2 months if no profit is made. This takes work and is not get rich quick, so choose a product that you will use while building your business.
Once you decide on the type of product you want to promote, then comes the task of finding a MLM company to work with. When you find a company research the company name and the name of the CEO. This is pretty easy just take the names and put scam at the end and see what you find on the internet. If you see that the company has bad press or the CEO is on a lot of scam websites do not join no matter what they promise. So many of these CEO's open company after company and scam people out of money. Sure people make money but it is usually the same leaders who follow them from company to company who make the money. The rest of the reps for the most part are in debt and have friends who will never trust them again.
Once you have the company with the product take a look at the compensation plan. A legitimate MLM program will sell products to the general public without requiring them to pay any extra or any hidden costs. Remember what I said before 98% of the people will drop out, so you will see a lot of companies charge set up fees and front load product. Front loading of products is when the company tells you that is you buy so much of the product you can achieve a higher paying level in the compensation plan. Companies do not care if you get stuck with a garage full of products once they got your money. There are plenty of legitimate companies out there that do not charge start up fees or front load product. You also want to see at what point you make money, I have seen companies that you do not make money until you have spent hundreds of dollars and recruited many people. Make sure that the company you choose you start to earn after you get one referral.
Once you find the right company with the right product and pay plan, now you need to do one more thing, have patience. You need to choose a company and stick with it, This is why choosing the right company is so important. Many people go from company to company and get further and further in debt and in the end give up saying MLM is a scam. MLM is not a scam, unfortunately many people get scammed by dishonest CEO's.
Do your homework and research before joining and spending any money in a MLM opportunity. Your chance of success is much better when you find the right company for you. When you are ready to advertise for referrals remember to lead with the product. Remember people who get in for the opportunity leave while those in for the product stay.
