Autoresponders: Don't Always Rely On Your First 'pitch'

My own research and experience has convinced me that a prospective subscriber, customer, or lead rarely accepts your first sales pitch. Usually, several sales pitches are necessary. Here's where capture pages and autoresponders are so great. Autoresponders are often used as e-mail marketing tools, to immediately provide information to their prospective customers and then follow-up with them at preset time intervals.
Autoresponders were first automatic programs used for mail transfer programs to deliver ?bounce? messages when email couldn't be delivered to the sender's desired address. Autoresponders quickly found favor with Internet marketers, because they can be incorporated into mailing list software. Prepared advertising copy, training modules, etc. could then be sent automatically to email addresses entered into the list.
Most autoresponder users subscribe to an outsourced web-based model. Those with the technical skills to administer their own autoresponders will maintain one on their own server.
Email campaigns delivered by autoresponders can be used to introduce prospects to your products and services, up sell existing prospects, or deliver a series of training material and the like for your sales team.
Maximizing marketing dollars is of supreme importance to the successful Internet marketer. Due diligence prior to advertising, and tracking efforts and results is a must. Savvy marketers know the importance of tracking efforts and results so that poorly performing campaigns can be weeded out quickly.
So, now let's say we've conducted a successful campaign. We have a few subscribers, customers, or leads. It goes without saying that we now 'rinse, wash, and repeat' with the marketing campaign. More importantly, we must make sure that we handle our new subscriber, customer, or lead properly.
You can build your own list of prospects to, then, email advertising campaigns with your autoresponder. Capture pages are one method of effective list building. A capture page is simply a webpage that asks a prospect to enter their name and email address for more information. This prospect's email address is fed directly into your auto responder, in which you have a series of prepared emails ready to send to them. You can also purchase opt-in leads in your niche to email your campaign to.
Autoresponders save you time, enabling you to communicate important product and service news and information to your list of prospects and team members like clockwork. I never realized how useful an autoresponder was to my marketing efforts until I started using it faithfully. If you're not using one in your marketing efforts, you should look into incorporating it.
