As we draw closer to the schools summer holidays, Orlando of course will be a dream holiday destination. You wouldn't be able to comprehend the amount of people I have spoke to that have been to Walt Disney World during the peak visiting times, whether that be summer, Easter or Christmas and really weren't prepared for the crowds. This usually leads to those folks having a disappointing vacation. Here's some advice.
Back in the day, you had quiet times at Walt Disney World. You could guarantee that if you visited in March the theme parks would be quiet. To a lesser extent this is still true, and I would still recommend avoiding all school and public holidays if at all possible. What Disney World and the other theme parks in the area now regularly doing is holding special events at the parks to draw in the visitors even during quieter times. For example Star Wars Weekends and Super Soap Weekends are huge crowd pullers. So, I'd say prepare for Disney World to be busy. If they're not then great, but if they are you'll already have the upper hand.
So what planning trips should you take on board?
The Disney World maps are readily downloadable online with information about each ride. So find out what attractions your party want to ride before you go and visit these rides as a priority, fitting in the other attractions when you can.
I still find it unbelievable that people visit the Disney parks and don't make full use of , Disney's virtual queuing system that gives you a time to return to the attraction and ride with a minimum wait. Make sure you use this. If you're unfortunate enough to not be able to get a Fastpass some attraction do have single rider lines, so if you are not bothered about who you sit with take advantage of this.
Above all, make sure you get to the park prior to the official opening time. Sometimes the parks open prior to this time so you can get a heads up on the other visitors. Beyond that, remember any plan isn't set in stone, so be flexible and have fun.
Visit Walt Disney World
Proper Season to go
Off-season in Disney world starts from Labor Day and continues till mid December and roughly from early January till mid February is definitely a good time to visit the place. There is less congestion, less people and less headaches during off-season. It is really good that it doesn't get too cold during winter in Florida and during summer it gets really humid and hot.
Proper Lodging facility
Though you can get a much cheaper lodging outside of Disney World but the convenience and comfort you get to experience inside more than makes the additional cash spend worthy.
It can be really exhausting to traveling from your hotel to going through the 47 square mile area that makes up the Disney world and back to your hotel again.
A Proper schedule to maintain
Your choice of adults, teenagers, kids or companions are the determining factors that direct you to where you will go next after you have got there. My family discovered this during our trip from our last summer.
Kids
The little kiddies are sure to love all the characters roaming around Mickeys Toon Town or Visit Fantasy Land and Cinderellas Castle area. Though the rides in this area a made for kids for the age group of 6 year olds and below, their parents should not have any problem squeezing themselves in as well.
Teens or Adults
If you are with big kids a trip to Magic Kingdom may be in order. You can either get wet or get some indoor roller coaster to Splash Mountain. The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad should be good enough to quench the thirst for adventure and be a fun experience for a bumpy person.
Rides that everyone can enjoy
A ride in the Walt Disney World Railroad is something that everyone can enjoy and also a good ride to give a bit of rest to your while enjoyable view of Magic Kingdom.
Although not appropriate for very young kids, the Haunted Mansion can be a thrill for toddlers. It is safe because no running or tripping is involved, as it is a ride not a walk.
Try the Swiss family Tree House or the Tiki Room Show for some relaxing walks.
The very proper Dining Experience
Aloha Isle within Adventureland is the place to go if you are looking for some cute snacks. They can conjure up some real creative and delicious snacks and drinks. If your looking for something different and cute, this is a nice place to check out.
You can nibble happily on your food at Cosmic Rays Starlight Caf located between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland where you can enjoy the ambience of the indoor diner.
