The cardiosport monitor improves it accuracy with its coding system. In the device, there is a transmitter that sends a signal to a receiver. This receiver changes the signal to data you can read. In addition, the monitor uses a low frequency transmission system. These features reduce the chance of the monitor getting signals from other monitors nearby (known as cross talking).

Features

The cardiosport added other useful features to its heart monitors. These include a stopwatch which goes between ten to one hundred hours (depending on the model), lap time memory, a countdown timer, heart rate timing control, memory samples, energy control, time control, time in below and above target zone, interval timer, split time memory, changeable transmitter battery, time of day, calendar and alarm, EL screen light and ECG accurate heart rate. There are more advanced functions such as graphical display, computer compatibility, PC interface and dot matrix display.

With all that packed into a tiny device, it may seem that the cardiosport monitors would lack style. But the design is taken into consideration during production. Cardiosport monitors are worn on the wrist and their appearance is similar to a sports watch.

Unlike many heart monitors that need to be strapped to your chest, the cardiosport monitor design consists of a wrist device that ensures a person's level of comfort while exercising.
