Numerous industries demonstrate contributed to Leeds' wealth, but the conurbation is particularly eminent for its clothing trade. There are scarcely any well known names associated with the center, including Thomas Chippendale who launched creating his imposing furniture there, and Michael Marks - of Marks and Spencer - who opened his key Penny Bazaar there in 1884.In addition to this, it is also home to the well-known Kirkgate Market.
