London is the capital of Britain and a very leading tourist destination. Along World War II, German bombs killed over 30 000 Londoners and destroyed multitudinous houses and other architecture across London. This was not to be the last time that London maybe damaged by bombing.In fact, Irish Republican Army bombers disrupted the conurbation with bomb threats- and actual bombs- for legions years until their 1997 ceasefire. More recently, the place was struck by a series of coordinated bomb attacks in 2005, which were carried out by Islamic extremist suicide bombers on the city's public transport network on 7 July.

London is a terrific residence for vacationists, particularly because it has got so legions museums and galleries. These include the Natural past Museum, which was established in 1881. This noted museum has some awesome exhibits, including the legendary replica diplodocus skeleton, named dippy, which stands in the museum's central hall. Another superb exhibit is the skeleton of a blue whale, which weighs a massive 10 tons and is on display in the big mammals hall.

London is outstanding for its shopping, so you will spot everything from quirky independent stores and markets, to designer stores.One of the city's most recognized stores is Selfridges, which is on Oxford Street. It was primary opened in 1909 by Harry Selfridge, who wanted to make shopping relaxation rather than a chore. He succeeded and the store now has four other branches in assorted cities from the start the UK.

London is renowned for its exclusive bars, nightclubs and theatres. One of the most recognized clubs is Fabric , which is in Leicester Square. This huge club has a quantity of 1600 and it attracts some huge designation DJs, particularly on Fridays when it hosts its important Fabric live event.Another splendid club is Ministry of Sound, which is in Southwark.
